What does a local Dallas move cost?
Pricing opens at $125 hourly for a two-mover team, with the truck, pads, and dollies already folded in. Once we've done a brief walk-through, or reviewed a video clip you send, the flat figure gets written down, which means the quote equals your payment and no clock catches you off guard on the day of the move.
Are you licensed and insured in Texas?
We are. The state registers intrastate household-goods carriers through the TxDMV, and that registration is ours; interstate work runs under our own USDOT and MC authority, with $1 million of cargo coverage on every job. Request the credentials whenever you like, and we'll also produce any Certificate of Insurance a building or homeowners' association demands.
Can you handle a move into a downtown high-rise or loft building?
All the time. Uptown towers, downtown high-rises, and Deep Ellum loft conversions are regular work for us. Forward whatever the property manager requires when you book, and ahead of the date we'll reserve the freight elevator, claim the loading dock, and have the COI ready, so the truck arrives without stalling your schedule.
How far ahead should I book?
Two weeks of lead time is smart for weekend dates and month-end. Weekday and mid-month slots frequently open up on only a few days' notice, and whenever a truck sits free we're happy to grab same-day or short-notice jobs — just dial (214) 741-3360.
Do you need a deposit?
The bulk of local jobs across the metroplex require zero money up front; confirming by phone the day prior covers it. Larger projects and interstate runs reserve the date with a modest refundable deposit, and that amount is later subtracted from what you owe.
Which areas do you cover?
Dallas is our anchor, and the trucks roam the entire metroplex — Plano, Frisco, Irving and Las Colinas, Richardson, Garland, Carrollton, McKinney, Allen, Mesquite, Rockwall, and beyond — alongside steady long hauls south on I-45 toward Houston and down I-35 to Austin and San Antonio.
Will you do the packing?
Absolutely. The crew can box up the entire home, or just make a targeted run at the kitchen, the breakables, or anything you'd rather not deal with. We supply every carton, every sheet of packing paper, and all the tape.
Can I pack myself to save money?
By all means. Lots of customers fill their own boxes and leave us only the furniture and the heavy lifting. If you'd prefer, we'll pack just the delicate items and nothing else. Whatever lands on our plate shows up clearly in the estimate.
Do you sell boxes and supplies?
We do — cartons, tape, paper, bubble wrap, and the specialty boxes shaped for dishes, wardrobe contents, and flat-panel TVs. We'll deliver them in advance so you can pack at your own speed in the days leading up to the move.
How does your crew handle Dallas summer heat?
With July and August routinely running 95 to 105 across North Texas, we get an early start, stock the truck with cold water, and rotate people through the worst of the afternoon. Electronics, candles, and other heat-sensitive things load last and ride up front when that helps. We're also tracking the spring forecast for hail and tornado watches, padding the schedule whenever conditions warrant.
What if there's a hailstorm or tornado watch on moving day?
Plain heat or a quick rain shower won't halt us; we tarp the ramp and keep the load dry. It takes a real severe-weather event — big hail, destructive wind, or a live tornado warning that genuinely endangers the highways — to bump the date, and when that happens a penalty-free reschedule goes out immediately.
Will you move a piano or other heavy pieces?
Yes. Plan on $330 to $500 for an upright and $570 to $870 for a baby grand. Gun safes, pool tables, and similar heavy or awkward items travel on real piano boards, four-wheelers, and straps as well. Mention them at booking so the team brings the correct gear.
Can you get my building or HOA its Certificate of Insurance?
Certainly, it's standard practice for us across Uptown towers, loft properties, and the master-planned HOA communities scattered through Collin and Denton counties. Send along whatever management spells out when you book, and a COI naming them specifically arrives comfortably before the date, no fee.
Is there anything you can't load?
The law and basic safety rule out hazardous materials such as propane, gasoline, paint, and chemicals, plus perishable food and ammunition. You'll get the full list at booking so nothing trips up the day.
Do you offer storage?
We do — climate-controlled units land roughly in the $110 to $270 monthly range by size, holding everything steady through the long Texas summer. Your belongings stay wrapped and locked until the dates align, and delivery happens the moment you say go.
How does an out-of-state move from Texas work?
Interstate hauls operate under our own USDOT authority, quoted as a single binding figure on paper, with the truck tracked from start to finish. The crew that loads in Dallas rides along to the destination — no handoff, no load board, no trailer swap at some warehouse along the way.
Can you move a business or office?
Yes. Commercial and office relocations throughout the metroplex and the wider DFW area sit right in our wheelhouse, and they often run on an evening or weekend so the business sheds as little open time as possible.
How can I pay?
We take major credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers. The bill settles after everything's unloaded and your walk-through wraps up — you'll see the full total laid out before we finalize anything.
How does canceling work?
Give 48 hours of notice to cancel or shift the date and your deposit returns in full. Plans change, and nobody pays a penalty here for it; the sooner you tell us, the easier we can free that slot up for the next customer.
Should I tip the crew?
Tipping is never built into the price, and the quote covers everything on its own, but hauling boxes up a staircase in the August heat does tend to earn one. A lot of customers settle somewhere around 10 to 20 percent of the job divided among the crew, or a flat sum per person — entirely up to you.
